The Ms. World Corp awarded the 2022/ 2023 title of Mrs Universe to Attorney Juanita Brown Ingram.

Juanita Brown Ingram, Esq. is an award-winning attorney, author, actress, filmmaker, and fashion philanthropist. She is the newly crowned Mrs. Universe 2022/2023 and the first Black woman to win the title. She, her husband, and two children live in Singapore, having previously resided in London and Taiwan. Originally from Tennessee, she is an HBCU graduate of Tennessee State University and obtained her MBA and Jurist Doctorate from the University of Memphis. Juanita is a licensed attorney for over 20 years having received the Attorney For Justice Award from the Supreme Court of Tennessee in 2018-2021; she was awarded the Up and Coming Leadership in Law Award in 2007 and was named Top 40 under 40 in 2004.
She is the Founder and current Board President of Dress for Success Greater London and Dress for Success Chattanooga. She is also a voting member of the Television Academy and often serves as a judge for the Daytime, Primetime, and Children’s Emmy Awards; a 9x Telly Award Winner, Webby Award Honoree, British Urban Film Festival best Actress Nominee, and a 5x Best Actress winner from the Actor's Awards LA and other global film festivals. She is also CEO of Purpose Productions Inc., a 501(c)3 women-led production company with a mission of creating content that celebrates authentic BIPOC narratives while empowering women and youth through film worldwide.
She is radically transforming the reality TV model for Black-casted series as the Creator and Executive Producer of the unscripted show The Expats International Ingrams, currently streaming on Amazon Prime US/UK & Roku; which chronicles Black Americans living, working, and thriving abroad while directly combating the distorted representation of BIPOC people globally. Mrs. Ingram is an advocate for women and young girls, speaking internationally on topics regarding the law, diversity, equity, expat issues, confidence-building, women's wellness, sustainable fashion, female empowerment, and self-worth throughout the US, Asia, Europe, and the UK.
